Largest Bond ETF Now Trading At a Massive Discount
you guys are funny , it has NOTHING to do with Lehman ! I shares pays a small fee for using a Lehman trademarked index . It has nothing to do w/ Lehman . What Alan is trying to say is [ I think ] is that we are seeing a severe credit crunch which will be a great trading or investing opp. I like the article , if you already owned it , well that sucks . I would not sell , probaly add a little to my position . People who sell in fear create great investing and trading opp. for savvy people .

U.S. Dollar: Best of the Worst?
you hyper-inflation guys will be saying the same thing in 5 years . Buy gold and silver !! It's coming to a end !! We will be just fine just like the 70's ! It hurt but we recovered , things were fixed buy super high interest rates . Hello , history often repeats , and for all you gold bugs out there . Gold has done horrible since the 70's . It's pretty much where it was . T-Bill's have destoyed gold in return since then .

Corporate Bonds: When Safe Asset Classes Become Risky
you guys are both wacko's , LQD will be a good investment for savvy investors buying on the cheap ! Every class of bonds has out-performed gold since it peaked in the 70's at 800 an ounce .

Looking for the Perfect Dividend Stock
To quiz , div. will not last for MCHP will not last . They can barely cover div. now . They are in highly viotile biz. The stock is a roller coaster to put it mildly ! They will not be able to grow fast enough to keep raising div. they can barely cover now !

to penny stock , why would you invest in stock with low div. growth like ED . Over last 10 years stock has also earned about a 25% stock price gain along with avg. yield of about 5.5% . Stock has been very stable ! So investors have gained about 8% a year . Not huge , but not bad .

      New Enthusiasm for Nuclear Power
This is to pocky , i would love to see where you got 30 to 40 years of material . If material was that scarce nukes would not be cost competitive . Spent plut. cannot be made into nukes , you can make them into dirty bombs but dirty bombs are not overly effective weapons . I think before you bash Nuclear you should educate yourself on one the most powerful , clean , energies we have on planet .

EDE has a nice current yield BUT THEY DON'T raise their dividend and have not in years . The stock has also been trading sideways forever , over the last 2 years it's actually down a little in price . I personally would not touch EDE !

I own DUK and have for a while , really like them aggressivly jumping into wind . ED is also solid , most cost of fixing infrastructure is passed on as it is with most utilities . Local goverments no that not investing in infrastructure is really bad . They usually let utilities pass cost on , ED is solid and have done very well for investors . The yield is also nice .

      20 Top High-Dividend Growth Stocks
I have to say I like ED and USB , both have weathered this market very well and are both very profitable . With yields north of 5% and stock prices that have been steadily going up over the years these 2 are winners . GE and PFE have been dead money for investors , they pay good divs. but stock price has been south on both these for a long time . FITB I would'nt touch with someone else's money !

Is the Price of Gold Artificially Depressed?
Stop acting like gold is a currency ! Try to go to the grocery store with a gold coin and buy a loaf of bread ! Gold is supply and demand , it's worth what someone will pay for it period . It's not a currency - the inflation hedge theory is just that . If the inflation hedge theory was true gold would be at thousands of dollars . You try to tell me what inflation has been over the last 200 years . I've traded gold a few times , I've traded silver a few times - but it's just that a trade .
